BACTERIOLOGIE, INTERACTIONS BACTERIES/ CELLULE HOTE, ENDOCRINOLOGIE BACTERIENNE, LUTTE BIOLOGIQUE / BIOCONTROLE, RESEAUX MOLECULAIRES, BIOCHIMIE, BIOLOGIE MOLECULAIRE, OMICS, SANTE
BACTERIOLOGY, HOST TO BACTERIA INTERACTIONS, BACTERIAL ENDOCRINOLOGY, BIOLOGICAL CONTROL, MOLECULAR NETWORKS, BIOCHEMISTRY, MOLECULAR BIOLOGY, OMICS, HEALTH
The objective of the work is to understand the role of the bacterial envelope as a whole or of the bacterial sensors in the adaptation of bacteria to their environment and their host, the formation of biofilm, and virulence, aiming at discovering new compounds able to modify this adaptive capacity.
The work aims to study the communication and interactions between bacteria and eukaryotic cells in the case of skin, intestinal and pulmonary microbiota.
Microorganisms develop various interactions with the plant that can be exploited for crop protection (biocontrol), environmental (agroecology, bioremediation) and health (food quality and safety) purposes. Our work deals with interactions between rhizosphere partners, including intercellular communications (quorum sensing) and their interference (quorum quenching), as well as molecular exchanges via type III and VI secretion systems.
This field focuses on understanding the risks associated with bacteria by studying in particular the relationship between bacterial metabolism and virulence, the connection between the response to stress, resistance to antibiotics and infectious diseases, as well as the microbiological risk linked to the environment.
The aim of the work is to propose new strategies for combating infections with bacteria that are multi-resistant to antibiotics, and aim to identify molecules with anti-resistance, anti-virulence and, in certain cases, anti-biofilm effects.
